All the Bugs - organic and botanically dyed
This soft organic cotton bandana was botanically dyed here in our workshop. It has four hemmed edges and is hand printed with cicadas, ants, and ground beetles.
Hand-printed and dyed garments are a bit more delicate than machine-made ones, but when washed sparingly in cold water, the ink will hold up for a very long time. This deep purple comes from a process using logwood, which has good washfastness but is only moderately lightfast. Hang to dry indoors for the most longevity and to avoid shrinking the cotton. Expect the black ink to soften and a small amount of the pigment to wash out during the first wash.
