Pretty Deadly Bandana - organic and botanically dyed

$45.00

This soft organic cotton bandana was botanically dyed by me! It has four hemmed edges and is hand printed with venomous snakes and cliff rose blossoms.

Hand-printed and dyed garments are a bit more delicate than machine-made ones, but when washed sparingly in cold water, the ink will hold up for a very long time. The yellow color of the bandana comes from a botanical dye called fustic which has relatively high light and washfastness. The yellow color may actually darken a bit in the sun! Hang to dry indoors for the most longevity and to avoid shrinking the cotton. Expect the black ink to soften and a small amount of the pigment to wash out during the first wash.
